A Little Bit About Us
Lucky to Ride is dedicated to giving underserved and at-risk youth the opportunity to experience and learn about the natural beauty of Colorado from the seat of a mountain bike.
We are an organization of cyclists, educators, and community leaders who believe we can make an unquestionable difference in the lives of children by opening their minds to new possibilities and arming them with greater self-esteem.
We offer experiential and transformative cycling programs that combine fun, adventure, and physical activity with stem-based programming in a safe, supportive environment.
All our programs serve underserved youth, ages 8-20, in the Denver metro area.

ride program
Building healthy, confident kids two-wheels at a time.
We provide adventure-filled, daylong and after school mountain bike outings for small groups of youth, ages 10 and up. Kids learn basic mountain biking skills, bike safety, and riding techniques.

learn to earn
Build it. Earn it. Ride it.
Geared for middle school and high school aged kids, this 5-day (10 hour) STEM-based course, aligned with Colorado state standards, teaches participants about the bicycle as a simple machine—how it works, how to repair it and how to ride safely. Instructors place an emphasis on teaching valuable life skills along the way.

youth@Work
Working towards the future.
Youth@Work is a 3-month paid internship program that allows youth, 14-20 years-old, to gain valuable, on-the-job retail and service training at our social enterprise bike shop, Lucky Bikes Re-Cyclery. The program specifically targets at-risk and underserved high school-aged kids who have no prior work experience.
What We
Love About
This Partner
Trips for kids provides a fun and safe way to get students out on the trails on bikes. Their program allows other groups to summer camp and youth groups out to new locations for nature exploration.
