A Little Bit About Us
Help youth make a difference in themselves and their community through meaningful service opportunities and educational experiences.
At MHYC, we believe supporting the development of youth ages 17-24 has long-term impacts on individuals, communities, and the environment. For 28 years, we have combined meaningful paid service opportunities in career pathways with education and personal exploration to help young adults discover their strengths and learn to lead. MHYC offers career pathways in land, energy & water conservation, construction, and health & wellness. When youth know themselves, feel supported, and can serve others, they will change the world!

Sheridan Land Conservation Program
environmental rehabilitation and habitat restoration
The Mile High Youth Corps Sheridan Land Conservation Crew employs 9 youth (18-24 years old) to serve during the summer season (May-August) participating in a variety of crew-based environmental rehabilitation and habitat restoration projects in the City of Sheridan, surrounding communities and Cal-Wood Education Center. The crew will complete 2 weeks of orientation and trainings and 10 weeks of project work. Potential projects include trail building and maintenance, habitat restoration, fire mitigation and park development.
